TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
